Abstract
In this article, Karin Svedberg Helgesson focuses on how business actors become “agents of the state”. She argues that the state needs to enlist the cooperation of businesses and other actors. However, becoming an “agent of the state” is not unproblematic. Svedberg Helgesson highlights some of the tensions and concludes that conflicts around values and accountability need to be brought out in the open to develop Sweden’s capability to handle future crises.
