Abstract
Using a large representative sample of the Swedish population, the present study aimed to explore the relationship between online shopping of medicines and personality traits (i.e. degree of Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness and Neuroticism). In total, 1622 persons responded to a questionnaire, including measures of online shopping of medicines and personality traits. Our findings indicated that online shopping of medicines is associated with high degree of Openness and Neuroticism. The study relies on two different personality inventories that revealed the same result. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.
