Abstract
Advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) have continued to change many aspects of organizations, including leadership and managerial roles. Emerging technologies within AI, for example, natural language processing , machine learning, data mining, and Generative AI (GenAI) can be used for innovative ways to transform managerial practices, while at the same time, posing new questions about the current ways things are done at the leadership and managerial levels. This panel symposium examines the potential of AI, especially GenAI, in critically questioning current leadership and managerial practices as well as improving decision-making and other organizational processes. We bring together leading scholars and practitioners to provide insights into how GenAI may shape these practices, what changes may occur in the organization due to the widespread use of GenAI, and how we can ride these waves into the future.
