Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies have a profoundly significant impact on businesses, particularly on retail in a resilient economy, where they have the potential to transform both the demand and supply sides. AI technologies in retail are considered in the context of innovation and comprise all the known technologies. The purposes of the current study are to ascertain the extent of AI technologies as constituents of innovation in retail in a resilient economy, examining the academic journals where it is published, as well as to identify and compare AI technologies applications in theory and practices. Moreover, in the study author synopsized AI technologies in retail leveraging and extracted the most common innovative practices in a resilient economy, published in the leading academic journals in business and management. Then, based on the clusterization of articles it is identified AI technologies, its relevant functions and decision areas in retail in a resilient economy that gain a competitive edge for retailers by reevaluating and adopting their business models and standard processes, incorporating intelligent modifications. To the end, specific avenues for future research are outlined that in an obvious way focus on importance of AI leveraging in retail processes in a resilient economy.
