Abstract
This special issue of Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services is based on research papers from the first Nordic Retail and Wholesale Conference. The conference was held at the Stockholm School of Economics, Center for Retailing, in November 2008. The aim of the conference was to gather retailing researchers from the Nordic countries partly to investigate what researchers there are, what they study, and partly to initiate an academic network among these researchers.
