Expertise
Professor Constantin Blome holds the Chair in Transformative Innovation at the Stockholm School of Economics, where he directs the Center for Transformative Innovation at the House of Innovation. He is also affiliated with the Center for Security and Resilience.
His research examines how organizations and supply chains can become more sustainable, innovative and resilient. His work spans supply chain and operations management, procurement, transformative innovation and risk, with a particular emphasis on translating academic research into practical value for businesses and policymakers.
Before joining the Stockholm School of Economics, Professor Blome served as Academic Dean of Lancaster University Leipzig. He previously held senior academic and leadership positions at the University of Sussex and UCLouvain, including the GlaxoSmithKline Chair in Strategic Sourcing and Procurement. He earned his PhD in Management from Technische Universität Berlin.
Professor Blome has been recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher and elected a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences. He regularly advises organizations and speaks at international academic and practitioner conferences.
