Expertise
Iman's research focuses on health and humanitarian supply chains and nonprofit operations management, driven by the rapidly growing demand for humanitarian interventions and substantial global health challenges. He employs theoretical modeling and empirical analysis to address practically relevant questions.
He investigates strategies that nonprofits can develop to ensure financial security and maximize social impact. This work is crucial given the high risk of failure nonprofits face due to financial turbulence inherent in their funding structure. Additionally, he examines coordination between different stakeholders within the humanitarian sector and health supply chains. Iman is also interested in the use of new technologies in these sectors, taking a business model perspective and considering crucial challenges such as equity in the delivery of aid and services.
Iman holds a PhD in Supply Chain Management from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Before joining SSE, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow and the project coordinator of the Humanitarian Research Group (HRG) at INSEAD and is currently a visiting scholar at the HRG.
