My research examines governance and management control in complex public organisations, with a particular focus on Swedish municipal corporations. I study how formal steering instruments, organisational discretion, and institutional demands shape accountability, performance, and strategic action in hybrid settings. My current work focuses on owner directives, management control systems, and the governance of resilience in municipalities and their municipal corporations.
