Lorenzo Palladini is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the House of Innovation, Stockholm School of Economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Luxembourg, where he explored the intersection between innovation, organizational strategies, and economic institutions under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Katrin Hussinger. Lorenzo’s research focuses on the economics and management of innovation, particularly examining the role of institutions—both formal and informal—in shaping firms’ innovative strategies, as well as the broader impacts of innovation on firm value creation. His work also delves into the organization, economics, and politics of science, contributing to a nuanced understanding of the interplay between societal norms, policies, and scientific output.
Lorenzo’s research has been recognized with awards such as the DRUID Steven Klepper Award for Best Young Scholar Paper in 2024 and has been presented at leading conferences, including DRUID and the Academy of Management Annual Meeting. Beyond research, he is actively involved in teaching and mentoring, having taught courses on innovation management, entrepreneurial finance, and corporate valuation at institutions like ESADE, Copenhagen Business School, and Maastricht University. He was also a visiting researcher at CBS, ESADE, and ZEW, and a reviewer for leading academic journals for which he was awarded the best reviewer award at Industry and Innovation in 2023 and the outstanding reviewer award from the TIM division at the 2022 Academy of Management Annual Conference. His research has been published in Industry and Innovation.
