Expertise

Pär Åhlström is the Torsten and Ragnar Söderberg Professor of Business Administration at the Stockholm School of Economics, where he serves as the Vice President Degree Programs. With over 25 years of experience in research on lean, he has published frequently on lean in manufacturing, product development and in services.

His research is highly cited and he is also an award-winning teacher. His publications appear in a range of journals including the International Journal of Operations and Production Management, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Technovation, International Journal of Innovation Management, and European Management Journal. He is also a co-author of the best-selling book This is Lean: Resolving the Efficiency Paradox, which is translated into to 14 different languages and has sold over a quarter of a million copies worldwide.
