Rui (Shari) Sun joins the House of Innovation as Assistant Professor in September 2026 after completing her PhD in Management Information Systems at NYU Stern School of Business. With a background in computer science, her research focuses on AI governance, risk, and innovation. She studies how organizations respond to generative AI, including how the technology reshapes governance responsibilities and how organizations understand and manage risks associated with AI adoption in knowledge work. Her research also explores how these developments can create opportunities for innovation and adaptation. She also explores how emerging technologies like foundation models could be incorporated into qualitative research.
