Abstract

How come domestic violence became more frequent in Sweden when COVID-19 hit? Maria Perrotta Berlin investigates possible explanations, and finds that social distancing, home schooling, lack of recreation activities and unemployment are factors during the pandemic that can explain the increase in so called “intimate partner violence”.
