Abstract
The data and code in this replication package replicates the analysis for the manuscript "Asymmetric Sanctions and Corruption: Theory and Practice in China" by Maria Perrotta Berlin, Martin Dufwenberg, Bei Qin, and Giancarlo Spagnolo, accepted for publication in Economic Inquiry. The replication analyzes data from 8 data sources using Stata and R. Two main program files (macrodata.r and microdata.r) plus three auxiliary program files (macrodata.do, microdata.do and wvs.r) run all of the code to generate the data for the 5 figures and the table in the main article as well as the 4 figures in the Appendix.
