Expertise
Charlotte Walker is an affiliated researcher at the Department of Management and Organization at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE). Her research centres on disruption and how organizations navigate and respond to disruptive forces and societal change. As a qualitative researcher in strategic management, she explores these dynamics across three main areas: digitalization, including the influence of emerging technologies and developments in AI on employees and organizations; sustainability, with a particular focus on how organizations navigate and balance its multiple dimensions; and organizational resilience in the context of total defence. Across these areas, her work examines how disruption shapes organizational capabilities, resources, business models, and processes of strategic renewal.
Charlotte received her PhD in Business Administration from SSE in September 2025. For her doctoral research, she was awarded the prestigious Wallander Scholarship, providing three years of funding for full-time research, and began her appointment as a Wallander Scholar in January 2026.
