In my research I look into what market deregulation tells us about how markets change in relation to the expectations of the regulating bodies, and what configuration of conditions enables organizations to survive such markets-in-distress. I draw from bodies of literature on enactment, embeddedness, market dynamics, and performativity to create an analytical tool that assists in making sense of deregulated market conditions.

In my thesis I use the US Airline Deregulation Act of 1978 as a case from which to draw an abundance of data.
