Expertise

Hi! 👋🏻 I am a tenure-track assistant professor at the House of Innovation. Prior to joining SSE, I was a British Academy research fellow at Imperial College Business School (UK) and, before that, a postdoctoral researcher at Chalmers University of Technology (SE). I received a D.Sc. (Doctorate of Science) from the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland). My dissertation, supervised by Prof. CL Tucci, was entitled “Routines and Practices in Cross-boundary Creative Projects.” As part of my doctoral studies, I spent ten months at Stanford University (US), where I was affiliated with the Center for Design Research and the Design Thinking School.

My research explores creative work that entails collaboration across expertise. Specifically, I utilize qualitative methods (ethnographic methods, case studies) to explore how interactions and artifacts influence creative workers' work, how laypeople (users and clients) collaborate with creators, and how aesthetics (i.e., knowledge rooted in sensory reactions to events and objects) affects collective efforts to advance creativity.
