Expertise

Kalle Kraus holds a PhD in Accounting from the Stockholm School of Economics (2007). He is the SAAB Chair in Business Administration with a special interest in navigating the total defence scaling-up journey through management control systems. Kalle is also Professor (part-time) at the Department of Accounting, Monash Business School, Australia. He is the Director of the Center for Municipality Governance and Scientific Director of the Center for Security and Resilience. In addition to defense and security, his primary research interests are in performance measurement, accounting and morality, the connection between accounting and emotion, risk management, and inter-organisational relationships. He has published in top accounting journals such as The Accounting Review and Accounting, Organizations and Society. He is also Associate Editor of Management Accounting Research, and on the editorial boards of Accounting, Organizations and Society, European Accounting Review, and Journal of Management Control.
