Expertise
Lasse Lychnell (PhD) is a researcher working at the intersection between leadership, organizational development, and personal growth. His research focuses on three main areas: implementing mindfulness programs in organizations, developing the craft of leadership through connection, and facilitating how leaders grow through posttraumatic experiences. He studies how leaders bring insights from contemplative practices such as meditation to their work to enhance well-being and improve organizational outcomes.
Lasse uses interviews and action research, engaging directly with real-world settings to drive change and develop academic insights. As a photographer, he explores the aesthetic and experiential aspects of connection in leadership through visual methods.
As a teacher, he emphasizes inner development as key to addressing global challenges, promoting sustainable leadership, and fostering impact entrepreneurship. He serves on the steering committee of the Center for Social Sustainability at Karolinska Institute and is active in the Management, Spirituality, and Religion network at the Academy of Management.
