Expertise
I am an Assistant Professor at the House of Innovation (HoI) at the Stockholm School of Economics. Trained in economics, I hold a PhD in Innovation and Technology Management. Before joining SSE, I was a postdoctoral researcher at WU Vienna University of Economics and Business, and have held visiting scholar appointments at Columbia Business School and Harvard’s Laboratory for Innovation Science. Since 2022, I have also been affiliated with SCANCOR at Stanford University.
My experience extends beyond academia, including roles at BMW’s Research and Innovation Centre in Munich and the Austrian Institute of Economic Research in Vienna. My research focuses on innovation and technology management, examining how organizations acquire, assess, and integrate (external) knowledge to drive innovation. I am particularly interested in organizational search and problem-solving, as well as collective intelligence through crowds, contests, and communities. I investigate these questions using large-scale empirical studies and experiments in behavioral economics and decision-making.
