Expertise

Panos Constantinides is a Visiting Professor at the House of Innovation. He holds a PhD from the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge and he is a Fellow of the Cambridge Digital Innovation Centre.

His research examines human-AI collaboration, the strategy and governance of digital platform ecosystems, as well as their sociotechnical impact. His research has involved close engagement with organizations across sectors including healthcare, financial services and banking, energy, and enterprise software. He has been awarded research grants from the Swedish Research Authority, the British Academy, the UK Research and Innovation, and institutional grants from the University of Cambridge and the University of Manchester. His research has been published in journals such as Information Systems ResearchMIS Quarterly, the Journal of Business Venturing and Organisation Studies, among others. 

Panos is recognized as a leading academic in research on digital platforms and innovation ecosystems and is on one of the co-founders of the European Digital Platforms Research Network (EU-DPRN) that provides a forum for researchers from different disciplinary backgrounds (e.g., strategy, entrepreneurship, marketing, information systems, economics) to share their latest research on digital platforms and ecosystems and deepen their professional networks.

Panos is the author of the book Digital Transformation in Healthcare: An Ecosystem Approach that has received endorsements from business school academics, and chief executives in healthcare and technology consulting. He regularly advises senior business leaders, public sector officials and policy makers on how to manage the transition to new technologies and new business models in the digital economy and is a contributor to media and practitioner outlets.

Panos has led the development of interdisciplinary curricula at the intersection of IS, strategy and organizational change. He has taught courses on digital strategy, leading digital transformation, platform ecosystems, digital health, global sourcing and innovation, organizational change, and research methods, and his teaching has spanned the BSc, MBA, MSc, Executive, and Ph.D. programs. He has supervised and examined dozens of Ph.D. and DBA dissertations.
